Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using SpendFlow at https://app.spendflow.eu, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of service

SpendFlow is a personal finance tracking application that allows you to import bank transactions via CSV/Excel files or connect your bank accounts through our open banking integration, categorise your spending, and view financial summaries. SpendFlow is provided free of charge.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use SpendFlow. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

4. Your account

You sign in to SpendFlow using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under your SpendFlow account. Notify us immediately at diogomalafaya8@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Bank connections

SpendFlow offers optional integration with your bank accounts via EnableBanking, a regulated Account Information Service Provider (AISP) operating under PSD2. When you choose to connect a bank account:

• You authorise EnableBanking to retrieve read-only transaction and account data on your behalf.
• SpendFlow never has access to your bank login credentials.
• Access is strictly read-only — no payments or account changes can be made.
• You can disconnect your bank at any time from the Settings page or directly through your bank.

Bank connections are subject to EnableBanking's own terms and privacy policy. SpendFlow is not responsible for the availability or accuracy of data provided by EnableBanking or your bank.

6. No financial advice

SpendFlow is a personal finance organisational tool, not a financial advisory service. Nothing in the application constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions affecting your finances.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use SpendFlow for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or SpendFlow's systems.
• Upload malicious files or attempt to interfere with the service.
• Use the service to track or monitor another person's finances without their consent.

8. Data and privacy

Your use of SpendFlow is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

SpendFlow is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that transaction data will always be accurate or up to date. You use the service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpendFlow and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to financial decisions made based on data shown in the app.

11. Modifications to the service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue SpendFlow at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of SpendFlow after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal and the European Union. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of SpendFlow shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.
